COMMON QUESTIONS

DO I REALLY NEED A 'CLEAN' FACEBOOK PROFILE?

Your Facebook profile really does matter to employers - it's why most now have a social media policy for both screening of candidates and evaluation of employees. By making sure your profile is clean you ll stand a better chance of getting hired and less chance of getting fired. As unfair as it is, companies really do look at your profile to judge you.

I THINK MY PROFILE IS CLEAN ALREADY - DO I NEED THE APP?

Great! FaceSaver was designed for people who need to clean their profile, so you probably don t need it. That said, if you re applying for a new job or are expecting an appraisal soon it s good practice to double-check that your profile really is squeaky-clean . Remarkably, 45% of Facebook users have profanity somewhere on their profile, often posted by a friend, and some employers now use social media grading software that can flag even the slightest Facebook misdemeanor.

CAN'T I JUST MAKE MY PROFILE PRIVATE?

Absolutely.Just be sure to stay up to date with Facebook privacy settings, which change frequently and without notice, and remember that if you re friends with work colleagues your posts can still find their way back to an employer. Regardless of how your privacy settings are configured a clean profile gives you peace of mind - and can make you look great.

WHAT MAKES FACESAVER DIFFERENT TO OTHER FACEBOOK 'CLEANERS'?

The software involved in cleaning a Facebook timeline is actually quite simple; what makes FaceSaver unique is the accuracy of the app s intelligent filtering system. Sadly, some Facebook cleaners return a few results from your timeline then claim your Facebook is clean, leaving behind tens or hundreds of terms they don t recognize. With FaceSaver you ll have peace of mind that your profile really is clean.

POINTS TO NOTE

The technology to recognise that an image is inappropriate does not yet exist - so you will have to check your images manually!

The App may flag up some false-positive results. For example, "Massachusetts" contains a common swear word, so will be returned to you in the search results. We believe that our users would rather ignore false-positive results than miss real inappropriate content.

Requires iOS 5.1 or later. Compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.
